Gay referee wins Turkey court case

Turkey’s first openly gay referee wins a court case after being sacked by the Turkish Football Federation in 2009.
JINHA correspondent Vildan Atmaca, who had been taken into custody and arrested while following up news, will be on trial without arrest. The next hearing will be held on January 21, 2016.
Investigation has been launched by Ankara Chief Prosecution and Diyarbakır Prosecution against Demirtaş, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Hatip Dicle, Kamuran Yüksek, Selma Irmak and Sebahat Tuncel due to their statements with regards to self-governance.
