A short escape-
We had to do the most touristy thing in Venice…
Using part of my annual leave, I could fly to Italy to meet my brother and sister – twins- for a vacation on Monday night. There was no extra document required when I was passing through the passport control. Tomorrow night I will be back in Istanbul. A dear close friend joined us, too and we have traveled from Milan to Verona and Venice.
From a newspaper seller in Padua to an old couple who shared our gondola ride in Venice are all aware of tense situation in Turkey. But in any case, as a news junkie, there is no real escape for me. The purge after the coup attempt is enlarging and although most of the detained ones or closed institutions are closely related to Gülenist circles, more and more worrisome arrests take place. In any case, there are signs of ill treatment although minister of justice vehemently rejects.
I believe there was no reason to handcuff these columnists like this:

Şahin Alpay and Ahmet Turan Alkan
Mümtazer Türköne
I hear that there is also an arrest order for Hilmi Yavuz, a 90-year poet and lecturer… Dear Bülent Mumay, a journalist with a long lasting leftist leaning, has already been arrested. Tomorrow he will have a trial.
I believe most of the wrongfully arrested- whatever that means- will be released soon. However, the impact of these humiliating arrest will last longer. I feel that there is still unrest and unresolved questions about the coup plotters but wouldn’t it be better to limit arrests and closures to more possible candidates. It is very but very hard to believe that columnist Şahin Alpay has anything to do with a coup plan. But these are days of state of emergency. Ideal times to revenge all the critics…

Muktedir döndü dolaştı, 2012’ye ve oradan 150 yıllık savaş diline geri gitti. Ateşkes yani pamuk ipliğinden ibaret “çözüm süreci” verdiği talimatla bitirildi. Emrindeki örgüt (AKP) tek başına seçim kazanana kadar, dolayısıyla kendisini dokunulmaz ve ölümsüz kılacak bir hükümet kurulana kadar savaş dâhil her şeyi denemeye hazır ve her şeyi yakıp yıkarak zafer peşinde. Kıraathane düzeyinde bir hesap sonucu savaşla oynayarak milliyetçi oyları toplamak ve son aşamada HDP’yi kapatarak vasıl olmak istiyor bu hedefe. MHP bu ihtimali hissetti ve kapatmayı kendisi dile getirerek bir adım öne geçti.
CHP ise artık iktidar arzusundan mı, safiyane Erdoğan’ı gemleyebileceklerini düşündüklerinden mi bilinmez tamamen Erdoğan kontrolündeki bu örgütle koalisyon konuşmakta. Heyhat!
Oysa HDP dâhil diğer partilerin asla bu oyuna gelmemeleri ve enkazın müteahhidi olan Erdoğan ve örgütünü enkazla başbaşa bırakmalılar. Bu, “memleket hükümetsiz kalmasın” sahtekârlığından çok daha etkin bir siyasî duruş olacaktır. Zira en azından Gezi hadiselerinden bu yana yazılıp söylendiği gibi Erdoğan’dan kurtulmadan memlekette siyaset yapılamaz, ülke yönetilemez, toplum düştüğü yerden kalkamaz. Erdoğan muhiplerinin ikide birde siyasî tahlil iddiasıyla dile getirdikleri “ilkel Erdoğan karşıtlığı” teşhisi memleketin acı gerçeğini söylüyor.
Peki, muktedir muradına erebilir mi? Çok zor gözüküyor. Kürtlerin taleplerini savaşla önlemek 150 yıldır yapılan yanlışları tekrar edip farklı bir sonuç beklemektir. IŞİD ile PKK ve PYD’yi aynı kefeye koymak hem siyasî açıdan hem de Kürtlerin IŞİD karşıtı koalisyonun parçası olduklarını hatırlayınca, stratejik açıdan hatadır. Karada savaşan Kürtlerin askerî anlamda zayıflatılması IŞİD karşıtı koalisyonu zayıflatır.
Suriye’de uygulanan Selefî politikası Şam’ı yani İran ve Moskova’yı karşısına almak, diğer yanda IŞİD’le iş tutarak en hafifinden körle yatıp şaşı kalkmak, en ağırından da Faust misali güç ve iktidar için şeytana ruhunu satarak tükenmek demektir. Buna rağmen beyanın devamında “PKK’ye karşı düzenlenen bu hava saldırılarla ABD ile Türkiye arasında IŞİD’e karşı işbirliğini güçlendirme anlaşması arasında bir bağlantı yoktur” notunu da düşüyor.
Hâsılı kelam muktedirin işi çok zor ama olan ölen ve ölecek olan insanlara, yakılıp yıkılacak yerlere, onulmaz yara alacak olan barışa olacak.
