Medyaya yansıyan kadın cinayetlerinin haritalaması

Hemen her gün en az bir kadının öldürüldüğü, üçüncü sayfa haberi olarak gündemden hızla düştüğü Türkiye’de kadın cinayetleri konusundaki resmi veriler de maalesef birbirini tutmuyor. Kurumların şeffaf olmayan bu tutumu nedeniyle bağımsız medya kuruluşları ve sivil toplum örgütlerince takip edilen kadın cinayetlerine yönelik detaylı veri çalışmalarının, bu alanda çözüm üretme ve politika oluşturmaya katkısı yadsınamaz. kadincinayetleri.org sitesi bu noktadan hareketle, kadın cinayetlerinin veritabanını oluşturmak, kadınların ne tür bahanelerle öldürüldüğüne, cinayetlerde yaşanan ihmallere dikkat çekmek ve ortaya çıkan büyük fotoğrafın vahametini gözler önüne sermek; böylece kadın cinayetlerinin önlenmesi ve cezalandırılması yolunda çağrı işlevi görmek amacıyla hazırlandı.

Kadın cinayetleri verileriyle ilgili olarak Aile ve Sosyal Politikalar Bakanlığı, Adalet Bakanlığı, Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü ve Jandarma Genel Komutanlığı’na yapılan bilgi edinme başvurularının sonuçsuz kalması üzerine, çalışmamız medyaya yansıyan kadın cinayetleriyle sınırlanmış ve bianet.org (Bağımsız İletişim Ağı) tarafından kayda geçirilen Erkek Şiddeti Çetelesi’ndeki cinayet verileri temel alınarak gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Araştırmacı gazetecilik faaliyetleri için mali destek sağlayan Objectivetarafından desteklenen araştırma, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 ve 2014 yıllarını kapsamaktadır. 2015 verileri de eklendikten sonra her ay yeni veriler dahil edilerek güncellenecektir.

Projenin hazırlık ve araştırma süreci Ceyda Ulukaya tarafından yürütülmüş; sitenin yazılımı Yakup Çetinkaya, tasarımı ise Sevil Şeten tarafından yapılmıştır.
