Sort of an hegemony building I mentioned earlier continues.

As years pass and AKP’s rule intensifies, some of the popular personalities that used to be in opposition- some joined Occupy Gezi- began to switch sides, taking part at the powerful’s show off.

In an iftar hosted by Erdoğan, Burcu Esmersoy were the latest one to defect opposition. Some Twitter users reminded her pro-Gezi tweets along with a few other defectors:
