Bana al-Abed, the Syrian girl whose Tweets from eastern Aleppo captured the world’s attention, meets with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and first lady Emine Erdogan at his palace in Ankara on Wednesday. Seven-year-old Bana and her mother were evacuated to safety on Monday, part of an evacuation deal that saw the remaining residents of Aleppo head to other parts of the country.
