Turkey’s HDP plans to hold ‘autonomy’ rallies amid tension with gov’t over self-rule policy
The Kurdish problem-focused Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) is planning to hold rallies in favor of “autonomy” and “self-rule” before the end of January, at a time when one of its co-chairs is being investigated over his call for greater Kurdish self-governance
The political row which erupted after the Turkish president called for the co-leaders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) to have their immunities lifted to facilitate an investigation has prompted one of the party’s co-chairs to say “bring it on.”
The arrested among the group of Peace Marchers taking off from Bodrum and arriving in Diyarbakır on December 31, have been released.
The co-mayor of Turkey’s eastern province of Van, Bekir Kaya, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Jan. 4 on charges of “being a member of terrorist organization”

Republican People’s Party Vice Chair Tanrıkulu has forwarded Davutoğlu the three questions which had been addressed by the European Court of Human Rights to Turkey with regards to application regarding the curfews.
