Wikipedia will turn 15 years old tomorrow. The free online collaborative encyclopedia has grown explosively: from fewer than 500,000 English-language articles in 2005 to more than 5 million in 2015. And as the site has grown, so have the edits to its pages.

Arizona starts using Facebook and Twitter to publicly shame ‘Deadbeat Dads’
Fathers in Arizona who aren’t delivering court-ordered child support payments may discover their mugs plastered all over social media soon. Arizona governor Doug Ducey this week unveiled a bizarre new name-and-shame campaign to publicly mock so-called “deadbeat dads,” a crackdown on “the worst of the worst” parents who fail to make child support payments.
Researchers at Kaspersky Lab have, for the first time, discovered a valuable zero-day exploit after intentionally going on the hunt for it.
One study discovered that 53 percent of these Twitter users polled considered themselves early adopters — twice as many as non-users.
It’s no surprise that the most popular action taken by users of Facebook’sMessenger application is sending messages, but what else are they doing with the app?
According to GlobalWebIndex, the most popular actions by Messenger users are:
- Sent a message, 90 percent
- Sent a photo, 48 percent
- Sent a sticker, 35 percent
- Used Messenger.com on a PC or laptop, 22 percent
- Sent a video, 21 percent
- Made a video call, 18 percent
- Sent a voice recording, 15 percent
- Received a message from a brand or company, 15 percent
After being hounded out of other social networks, ISIS has created its own secure messaging app on Android, according to the Ghost Security Group (GhostSec). The Alwari app, says GhostSec is being used by members of the terrorist group to communicate with each other. The security watchdog discovered, “encrypted communications features although rudimentary to Telegram or other[s],” according to emails received by Defense One.
